Configuring the AutoCAD property transfer options

AutoCAD drawings often contain title blocks that use attributes for the text. Such title blocks can be updated by the Meridian Project Portal Advanced File Management add-on. The title block text can be updated from Meridian Project Portal document or workspace properties. This is useful to keep the information shown on drawings consistent with the same information shown in Meridian Project Portal. Only AutoCAD drawings with the .dwg extension and created by following the applications are supported:

• AutoCAD 2004
• Mechanical Desktop 2004
• AutoCAD FutureTools 2004
• ARK 10

To configure the AutoCAD property transfer options in Meridian Project Portal:

1. In the Settings view, expand the name of the workspace in which you want to configure the options, expand Advanced Settings, expand Modules, expand CAD File Management, and click AutoCAD Property Transfer. A page showing the current AutoCAD property transfer options appears.
2. Click options or type values using the descriptions in the following table. To clear a current setting, select the checkbox nearest to the setting that you want to clear. The setting will be cleared when you save your changes.

Note    For more information about a particular option, hover the pointer over the help icon or click the option caption to see a brief description of the option.

3. Click Save Changes. The page refreshes to show the effective settings.
